A New Zealand native, Eddie drove cat as part of the Pole of Inaccessibility expedition, helping to complete an overland traverse to the “farthest point from anything.” Eddie also helped move ALE’s main camp from Patriot Hills to Union Glacier in 2010. Back home, Eddie has served as head mechanic and cat groomer at Mt. Ruapehu ski area for more than 20 seasons.
