Antarctic Equipment Lists

Each expedition to Antarctica requires specific preparation and careful planning. Our over 30 years of experience traveling to Antarctica’s interior has curated specialized equipment lists to suit your expedition’s needs.

You must bring all of the required items on the list for your safety and comfort. A representative of ALE will conduct a personal Gear Check with you in Punta Arenas to ensure you have all of the required items.

A polar-rated insulated jacket, pants, boots, and sleeping bag are crucial items within this list. We make these four items available to rent in the event you do not own or wish to purchase them (only available for non-technical experiences).
