Nigel is a mechanic from Cumbria, England. He keeps the ALE vehicles and generators operational as well as providing ground crew assistance for flight operations on the blue-ice runway. Nigel first worked in Antarctica with the British Antarctic Survey in 1994 and since then has spent 3 winter seasons and more than 15 summer seasons on the continent.
